"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
-Jeremiah 29:11, NIV

"To thine own self be true."
-William Shakespeare

"Nosce te ipsum (know thyself)."
-Ancient Greek proverb

"Be yourself.  Everyone else is already taken."
-Oscar Wilde

God loves us for the wonderfully unique individuals He created us to be.  He wants us to lead rich, rewarding lives in His service.  This school year, I hope the high school students develop pride in what makes each of them interesting and valuable.  Freshmen and Sophomore students are focusing on writing autobiographical sketches about themselves.  This will enable them to learn about what influences have made them who they are.  World History, Junior and Senior students are learning about the bigger world around them; what has happened in the past and people's reactions to those events and decisions.  My goal for all these students is to be able to take what they learn about themselves and their world and use it to reach out to others in the future.
